Host a We Are The 99% event
Thanks for helping lead a We Are The 99% event in your community!
Organize a simple event in your community so that we can demonstrate that an idea whose time has come cannot be evicted—we are the 99%, and we will not be silenced.
Local MoveOn members will be invited to your event IF it is at an appropriate location and scheduled for Thursday, November 17, between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.
If you have any questions about hosting an event or selecting the right location for your community, talk to your Council or Regional Organizer, or email

Host Ground Rules
We have tried to provide all the information you will need on our website (more information is available after you post your event). We will work hard to review all questions that are emailed to us and respond in a timely manner.
By creating an event, you are agreeing to serve as the host of the event. Your responsibilities as host include:
Arranging that all the necessary materials are brought to the event (you can ask other participants for help).
Contacting and communicating with the people who participate in your event. We will encourage attendees not to attend an event where the host has not confirmed their participation.
Filing a quick post-meeting report.
Checking to see if your event will require a permit from the local police department. If so, you are responsible for obtaining the permit. Even if no permit is required, you should notify or have someone notify and be in touch with the local police department to let them know of the event in advance and confirm that there are no further requirements or restrictions.
Making sure that the event is held on public property.
Instructing those attending the event when they arrive to obey lawful instructions of law enforcement personnel; and to move off private property when requested to do so.
I agree to the hosting ground rules for this event.
