We Are The 99% event
Urgent Update. Occupy Wall Street has been evicted from Liberty Park in New York. Their rallying cry is simple: "You cannot evict an idea whose time has come. We are the 99%." So this Thursday, November 17, we're turning out for a massive day of action to show that "We Are The 99%" in cities and towns across the country. We're declaring an economic emergency at the places in our communities that can put America back to work: our crumbling bridges, understaffed schools, and other sites that represent a failing economy. We're just days from the Super Committee's deadline to propose more cuts for the 99% or increased taxes for the 1%. So come out and help increase the pressure on Congress to tax Wall Street to create millions of jobs. We need to show how far the 99% have spread beyond Liberty Park in New York. We need to show that the 99% cannot be evicted or silenced by making November 17 as big as possible.
