Save the Internet contest rankings and rules

The contest has ended. The winners will be contacted by Friday, May 12th.

The fight to save the Internet goes on. Please encourage your friends, family, and co-workers to sign the petition at http://civic.moveon.org/save_the_internet/.

Here are the basic rules of the contest:

  1. To be eligible, you must be a resident of the United States over the age of 13 who has signed the petition.
  2. To enter, sign the petition, then you'll receive an email with your personalized petition link. Send this personalized link to your friends, family, and co-workers. Please don't spam anyone.
  3. Every time someone clicks your personalized petition link and signs the petition, s/he will get a confirmation email asking her or him to verify the email address is working by clicking another link. If s/he doesn't verify the email address, we can't count the signature toward your contest score, so be sure to remind people to look for the confirmation email after they sign the petition.
  4. The 10 people who gather the most signatures by Monday, May 8 at 11:59 PM Pacific Time will win a free iPod Nano (1 GB version) worth $149. The next 40 top people will get a $20 BarnesandNoble.com gift certificate. Anyone who cheats gets disqualified, so please don't.
